Last week we told you the Pumpkin Spice Latte is the most popular seasonal beverage Starbucks has ever made.
This week we are going to show you how to make it yourself.
DIY in under 5 minutes and for a lot less than £5 a cup.
The Pumpkin Spice Latte. Here's one I prepared earlier.
What you'll need:
- A double espresso or two teaspoons of strong instant coffee dissolved in 30ml of hot water
- 200ml of milk of your choice (dairy, oat and almond all work brilliantly)
- 2 to 3 pumps of Pumpkin Spice Syrup (roughly 15 to 20ml)
- Optional: whipped cream and a pinch of cinnamon to finish
Step 1. Add your Pumpkin Spice Syrup to the bottom of your mug. (you don't need to write your name on it!
Step 2. Pour your espresso or hot coffee over it and stir to combine.
Step 3. Heat and froth your milk. No frother? Shake heated milk in a sealed
jar for 30 seconds. It works.
Step 4. Pour the milk over your coffee and syrup.
Step 5. Add whipped cream, dust with cinnamon, and pretend you're charging yourself £5 for it.
Total time: under 5 minutes. Total cost per cup: from around 14p for the syrup alone.
Now choose your syrup.
